The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster shoots in for a double leg but Akulov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt

and Akulov counters with a shoot takedown. Foster fights it but they end up in guard.
Akulov is looking to work some ground and pound but Foster has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Akulov distracts Foster with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Akulov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ovaltrades is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stuus is just riding it out for now. Ovaltrades eventually gives up the hold.
