The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher tries to bum rush Da Silva with a series of wild strikes but Da Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Belcher closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Da Silva quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Da Silva regains full guard. Nicely done.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Da Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belcher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belcher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Conan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Sandwich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Conan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sandwich wants to control but Conan is keeping him busy.
Conan is trying to control Sandwich's posture but Sandwich avoids it.

Sandwich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sandwich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sandwich wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Conan, who protects the arm well.
Conan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandwich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Conan is looking to regain half guard here but Sandwich keeps moving and retains side control.

Conan wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Sandwich has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Conan's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Conan is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Sandwich!
