The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young fails to land the takedown.
Young tries to close the distance and clinch but Can swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galat showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Turkulainen.
Turkulainen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Galat. Galat circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Galat shoots in but Turkulainen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Turkulainen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Galat moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Turkulainen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Turkulainen.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turkulainen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Galat eats them both and turns towards Turkulainen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Temppa Turkulainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Galat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turkulainen tries to avoid it but Galat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turkulainen to the ground. Turkulainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Temppa Turkulainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Galat.
Galat takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Neil deGrasse Tyson.
