The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim moves to clinch but Ruutu breaks away
and Ruutu counters with a good low kick that Jim was not able to check.
Jim throws a low kick but Ruutu avoids it.
Ruutu misses with a hook. Jim ducked under it nicely.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jim checks a leg kick.
Jim throws a head kick but Ruutu moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ruutu.
Jim tries to bum rush Ruutu with a series of wild strikes but Ruutu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jim tries to clinch but Ruutu moves away
and Ruutu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That kick from Ruutu tenderised Jim's leg. Jim is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ruutu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ruutu moves into the clinch.

Jim pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ruutu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jim on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ruutu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jim is out of range.
Ruutu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jim.
Ruutu stuns Jim with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jim takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ruutu moves into the clinch.

Ruutu is trying to maintain a safe position but Jim gets an underhook and turns Ruutu into the cage.
Ruutu misses with a hook to the ribs.

Ruutu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruutu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ruutu's corner calls for a 1-2. Ruutu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ruutu feints and then cracks Jim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jim down.

Jim avoids the head kick by Ruutu.
Ruutu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Ruutu lands a big uppercut and Jim crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jim looks OK. Ruutu waves Jim back to his feet!

Ruutu lands a leg kick that knocks Jim off balance momentarily.
Jim is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruutu finish him?

Overeem is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carter.

It looks like Cees Overeem has been cut.
Cees Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carter throws a punch but it's blocked by Overeem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carter misses with a hook to the ribs.
Carter takes an elbow to the temple.
Carter tries to throw a body punch but Overeem avoids it by throwing Carter back against the cage.
Overeem putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Carter in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Overeem pushes Carter back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Overeem's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Harris shoots in but Manres avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harris cracks Manres with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Manres dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Manres's head and hops out.
Harris catches Manres with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Harris throws a right and a left that Manres avoids nicely.
Manres has his takedown stuffed
and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Harris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Manres on the side of the head.
Harris scores with a jab. Manres acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Harris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manres moves away.
Manres shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Harris is stalling here. Manres is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Harris seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Manres has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Manres lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harris!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Declan Duddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bombada thuds his right hand into Duddy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That was a close round but I would say that Champ Bombada will probably get the nod.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Duddy in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Redmond fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Susi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Redmond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Susi is looking for a triangle but Redmond pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Redmond accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Susi has his foot on Redmond's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Redmond works his way back into a safe position though.

Redmond has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Susi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Redmond is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Susi pulls down on the head and he's put Redmond to sleep! This one is all over!
