The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sun tries to close the distance and clinch but Carelli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Carelli gets caught napping as Sun dives in and scores a takedown. Carelli manages to retain guard.
Sun looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carelli is trying to keep Sun in close.
Sun wants to pass the guard but Carelli is keeping the position.
Sun trying to control the position from guard on top but Carelli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carelli has his foot on Sun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sun works his way back into a safe position though.

Sun looking to pass the guard.
Sun engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Carelli has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sun should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Carelli has tightened it up now! Sun should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan wants to clinch but Ansip slips to the side

and Ansip counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ansip.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ansip - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ansip wants the takedown. Rogan is fighting it off but Ansip persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rogan's guard against the cage.

Rogan is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ansip rolls with it to try and escape but Rogan cranks on the arm and Ansip is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Rogan!
Joe Rogan took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Powerful bitches!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laweni is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dramuud lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Laweni at a distance.
Laweni throws a shot from downtown. Dramuud moves away and avoids it.
Laweni throws a lazy uppercut
and Dramuud counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Kimo Laweni has been cut.
Laweni takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dramuud slips a straight right by Laweni.
Northus Dramuud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dramuud lands a big right hand that sends Laweni crashing to the mat! Dramuud stays standing though and waves Laweni back to his feet!
Laweni pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dramuud tries to land a front kick but Laweni steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dramuud keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Laweni.
Dramuud turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Laweni misses with a looping right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laweni shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dramuud throws an overhand right that drops Laweni like a sack of potatoes! Dramuud dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Northus Dramuud!
A very excited looking Northus Dramuud rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guram avoids the head kick by Markowski.

Markowski lands a big head kick that sends Guram tumbling to the mat! Markowski takes a step backwards and waves Guram back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Markowski lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Markowski misses with a head kick.
Markowski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Guram avoids the head kick by Markowski.
Markowski misses with a series of wild punches.
Markowski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Guram blocks a head kick by Markowski.
No joy there for Markowski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Markowski tries a head kick but it misses.

Guram feints and as Markowski raises his hands in defense, Guram changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Guram sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Markowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guram throws a strike but Markowski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Guram is pulling down on Markowski's head. It's preventing any offense from Markowski, at least for the moment.
Guram might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jurij Guram has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Markowski tries to land a front kick but Guram steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Guram checks the leg kick nicely there.
Guram tries to clinch there but Markowski circles away.
Marek Markowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Markowski connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Guram! He's out on his feet! Markowski rushes in and drops Guram with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
