The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dantes slips under a jab.
Dantes thumps McAwesome with a low kick.
Dantes cracks the inside of McAwesome's front leg.
Dantes fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dantes tries to clinch up but McAwesome circles away and keeps his distance.
Dantes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McAwesome throws a hook but Dantes blocks it.
Dantes lands a head kick. McAwesome smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dantes throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Dantes tries to close the distance and clinch but McAwesome swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dantes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dantes is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McAwesome is surviving well by controlling Dantes's body position as best he can.
McAwesome is still in real trouble! Can Dantes finish him?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McAwesome postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dantes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McAwesome, into his guard.
Dantes is posturing up here but McAwesome has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dantes tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dantes has to tap! Slick submission there by McAwesome!

Haya Bernie McAwesome decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
