Jenkins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mary Jane. Alves is looking to land body kicks.
Alves throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alves throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jenkins's head.
Jenkins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jenkins checks a low kick from Alves.
Alves blocks a jab.
Jenkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alves's waist but Alves gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jenkins off to one side.
A combination from Jenkins does no damage.
The fighters circling - Jenkins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Davi Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jenkins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Alves on his heels. He'll look to pass Alves's guard now, I'm sure.
Alves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Alves throws a strike but Jenkins avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alves's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alves has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jenkins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alves.

Jenkins is just content to waste time from the top position. Alves takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jenkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jenkins has managed to get both his arms back between Alves's legs - danger averted.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving.

Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jenkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jenkins rolls with it to try and escape but Alves cranks on the arm and Jenkins is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
