The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bond.
Bond tries to clinch but Rojo moves out of range.
Rojo throws a nice looking combination but Bond bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rojo leaves Bond with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rojo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bond misses with a takedown attempt - Rojo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rojo tries to bum rush Bond with a series of wild strikes but Bond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bond is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bond seems to have got his legs back now.
Rojo wants to control from the top but Bond keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rojo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rojo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Bond sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rojo steps into range and cracks Bond with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bond flops backwards and Rojo dives into his guard looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rojo arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bond's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamed Khalidov had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
