The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Stojnic. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Stojnic.

It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut.
Stojnic misses with a two punch combination.
Stojnic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Liddell is looking to clinch.

Liddell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stojnic sprawls well initially but Liddell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rossi gets caught napping as Karelin dives in and scores a takedown. Rossi manages to retain guard.
Karelin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Karelin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Rossi wants to get back to his feet but Karelin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex Karelin wasn't active enough on the ground.
Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown but Rossi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Karelin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Karelin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown. Rossi tries to sprawl out of it but Karelin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rossi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carlo Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Karelin.

Rossi cracks Karelin with an uppercut from hell and Karelin crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Rossi's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Karelin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rossi drops Karelin with a huge uppercut! Karelin drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Rossi is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

and Ruddock makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ruddock cracks Nowak with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nowak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A slapping body kick lands there for Ruddock.

Gunter tries to bum rush Kozak with a series of wild strikes but Kozak uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gunter finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Kozak's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Gunter falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
