Couture throws a right and a left that both miss.

Davis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Davis tries for a takedown but Couture sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Davis tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Couture manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Couture works over Davis's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Phil Davis has been cut.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Couture's waist but Couture gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.

Alves stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alves pinned against the ropes. Alves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Alves is trying to defend against the choke here but Silva has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Silva Tightens the hold and Alves taps out furiously! Silva displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
