Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Khal Drogo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Drogo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Drogo throws a right and a left that Machida avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drogo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Machida slips a jab and a cross from Drogo.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Drogo counters with a nice kick to the body.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Juras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Werdum comes to the ring accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks - On the Eve of War feat. GZA. Juras has chosen Tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zelaya is looking to work some ground and pound but Paco has wrist control.

Zelaya feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
