Psylo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Psylo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Numero is proving hard to escape from.
Psylo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Psylo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Numero is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Psylo, into his guard.

Psylo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Numero rolls with it to try and escape but Psylo cranks on the arm and Numero is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vancan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vancan is looking to work some ground and pound but Nogueira has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vancan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like Amauro Nogueira has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vancan slips nicely into half guard.
Nogueira wants to control but Vancan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nogueira is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vancan scores with a couple of nice shots.

Nogueira is rocked!
Vancan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nogueira!
Nogueira is still in real trouble! Can Vancan finish him?
Nogueira is looking to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vancan postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nogueira badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Vancan around the waist but Vancan pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Vancan is the winner by TKO! Vancan jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raider Vancan!
A very excited looking Raider Vancan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
