Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Blancheflor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blancheflor has chosen Game of Thrones as his entrance music. Mirko Silva had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Mirko Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Blancheflor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silva can pounce on him.
Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Blancheflor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mirko Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Boat in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Boat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Dijk keeps working.

Boat closes the distance and clinches up with Van Dijk, looking for a takedown. Boat pushes Van Dijk against the ropes but Van Dijk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Van Dijk's corner calls for a 1-2. Van Dijk obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That has opened up Tug Boat's cut even more.
Boat takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boat shoots in for a double leg but Van Dijk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Van Dijk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Van Dijk paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tug Boat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Van Dijk.
Boat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tjemu Van Dijk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tug Boat.
Boat looks winded!
Van Dijk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
