The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Soares misses.
Alves feints and then cracks Soares's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Soares down.
Soares on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Alves lets loose with a powerful body kick. Soares will feel that in the morning.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Alves. Soares shrugs it off though.
Alves fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Soares has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Zivic drops Gorawski with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gorawski looks back up at him and smiles so Zivic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Zivic cracks Gorawski with a left hook right on the temple and Gorawski goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Zivic lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Gorawski is OK!

Fritzie Zivic spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
