The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards is looking to score with low kicks.
Ribeiro throws a leg kick but Richards sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Richards staying out of range there.
Richards uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ribeiro has time to react.

It looks like Marcelo Ribeiro has been cut.
Richards throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ribeiro moves out of range as Richards strikes.
Richards tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ribeiro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Richards counter with a right hand.
Richards misses the jab.
Ribeiro gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Ribeiro tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Richards is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Ribeiro buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Ribeiro!! Ribeiro is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Richards throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

A very excited looking CJ Richards made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Giants cracks Ellinger with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellinger chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Giants can pounce on him.

Aksornpan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pitbull but Pitbull pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Aksornpan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pitbull stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
