Macho Man misses with a straight right.
Dixon takes one to the side of the head.
Macho Man swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dixon tries to score with a low kick but Macho Man moves his leg out of the way.
Dixon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dixon walks into a left hand.
A jab from Macho Man does it's job there.
A telegraphed right hand from Macho Man misses the target.
Dixon slips under a jab.
Dixon connects with a leg kick. Macho Man looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Macho Man uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dixon has time to react.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diggler instigates a clinch.
Lister has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diggler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Diggler keeps control of Lister as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Diggler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lister managing to block the knees to the body from Diggler.

Lister ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lister no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dirk Diggler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Lister.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lister changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diggler tries to avoid it but Lister manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diggler to the ground. Diggler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diggler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lister has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Diggler creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lister's defenses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lister's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Diggler misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Lister shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diggler sprawls well. Diggler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lister gets slowly back to his feet.

Diggler lands a left and a right that send Lister crashing to the mat, dazed. Diggler thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lister finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Diggler's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lister falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
