The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Foe throws an elbow that misses. Dengel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Foe's guard. Nice move by Dengel!
Dengel wants to control from the top but Foe keeps moving.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivanovits cracks Vihtala with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vihtala looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ivanovits finish him?

Vihtala cracks the inside of Ivanovits's front leg.
Vihtala misses with a combination

and Ivanovits counters with a nice right hand that sends Vihtala toppling to the canvas! Vihtala scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ivanovits finish him?!

Ivanovits throws a looping overhand right but Vihtala ducks down to avoid it.
Kaarlo Vihtala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vihtala slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A low kick from Vihtala misses
and Ivanovits counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Vihtala throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Ivanovits stumbling backwards into the cage! Ivanovits bounces back off the cage towards Vihtala, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Vihtala lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Vihtala celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
