Hurt throws a body punch but Vitalenko moves out of range.
Vitalenko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kurt Hurt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurt missing with a left hand there. Vitalenko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hurt throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A big right from Vitalenko misses.
A punch lands to the side of Vitalenko 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hurt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Vitalenko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Vitalenko cracks Hurt with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hurt looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Vitalenko finish him?

Hurt steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Vitalenko. That one must have hurt.
Hurt is still on wobbly legs! Can Vitalenko finish him?
Hurt looks winded!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Vitalenko has cracked Hurt with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Vitalenko lands another huge swinging hook and Hurt tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Hurt, before Vitalenko can land any more shots!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
