Licha shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hansson sprawls well. Hansson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Licha gets slowly back to his feet.
Licha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hansson's waist but Hansson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Licha off to one side.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaughter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but David paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slaughter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has David pinned against the cage. David gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Slaughter tries to clinch up but David circles away and keeps his distance.
David keeps the fight on the outside.
Slaughter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slaughter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
David shoots in looking for a takedown. Slaughter tries to sprawl out of it but David keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slaughter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
David fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Slaughter has picked David up - he's going for a ride! Slaughter dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Slaughter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks David with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Slaughter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Slaughter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Slaughter slips a nice elbow through David's hands, connecting with David's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
David moves into full guard.

David working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Slaughter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but David is tightening it up a little... Slaughter has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Slaughter reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Slaughter taps out! Nice BJJ there by David!
