And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Willard Sloan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sloan drops Salvador with a beautiful combination! Salvador stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sloan is looking for the KO!

It looks like Axton Salvador has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salvador closes the distance and clinches.

Salvador gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sloan wants to stand and escape but Salvador is having none of it.

Sloan pushes Salvador off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sloan throws a nice looking combination but Salvador bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch combination from Sloan misses.
No joy there for Sloan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Salvador shoots in for a takedown but Sloan shows good takedown defense.
Salvador is breathing heavily.
A combination from Sloan does no damage.
Sloan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Salvador.
Sloan misses with a wild combination.
Sloan is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Salvador hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mattews shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Saitama's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mattews content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Saitama avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Saitama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mattews is stalling in the full guard.

Mattews drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mattews jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saitama is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mattews postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mattews advances to half guard.
Mattews looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Saitama with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mattews slips a nice elbow through Saitama's hands, connecting with Saitama's forehead.
Saitama is staying active underneath Mattews, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mattews lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mattews is looking to advance position but Saitama won't allow it.
Mattews thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Saitama is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mattews scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mattews lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Mattews working the head and body with strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mattews thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saitama's head.
Mattews missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Mattews sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saitama defending well though.
Saitama wants to get back to full guard.
Saitama keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Mattews maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Saitama could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mattews has cracked it and Saitama is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mattews!

After the fight, Matt Mattews was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Abbott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pucci manages to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Abbott 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like David Abbott has been cut.
Abbott throws a looping overhand right but Pucci ducks down to avoid it.
Abbott cracks a nice hook into Pucci's ribs.

Oooooh!!! Abbott has knocked Pucci down with a huge combo! Abbott steps away and waves a wobbly Pucci back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Hugh Pucci has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Abbott moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Some wild striking there from Pucci.
Abbott tries to bum rush Pucci with a series of wild strikes but Pucci uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Abbott swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Abbott throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pucci stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pucci uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Abbott.
Pucci swinging wildly here.

Abbott cracks Pucci with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Abbott has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pucci to stand back up!

Hugh Pucci's cut is getting worse.
Pucci steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Abbott.
Crack! Abbott connects with the perfect overhand right and Pucci falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Abbott!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Abbott!
A very excited looking David Abbott rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

I think Ideluca might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Red Cafe- Gucci Everything. D J Rich is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

A head kick misses from Ideluca.
Rich ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rich shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rich trying to mount his opponent but Ideluca defends it.
Rich lands strikes from half guard.
Well, if Rich is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rich decides to stand and escape the position.
Rich connects with a body shot that sends Ideluca's belly button to the back.
Ideluca really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rich lands a front kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rich misses with a two punch combination.
Rich lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ideluca is breathing heavily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rich!
Rich fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ideluca tries to clinch but Rich is having none of it.
Rich's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rich duly obliges.

Ideluca is rocked!
Rich moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Ideluca is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rich lands a nice shot to the body.
Rich lands with a big left! Ideluca is wobbled badly! Rich comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ideluca to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Michaels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Michaels.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brown.
Michaels looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.
Michaels rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brown counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brown avoids the body shot from Michaels.
Michaels takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Michaels pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown scores with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rob Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Michaels drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Brown shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Michaels eats them both and turns towards Brown to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Michaels is rocked!

Brown looks to land a combination but Michaels avoids it well.
Oh Michaels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

enabling Michaels to counter with a crisp jab.
Michaels throws an off balance right hand
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brown throws a right hand that Michaels ducks under and follows up with a left that Michaels also avoids with ease.
Michaels avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brown scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Michaels takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Brown feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Michaels's calf.
A slow jab from Michaels misses its intended target.
Brown circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Michaels drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Brown follows Michaels to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Oda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hero is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hero is looking to regain half guard here but Oda keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oda misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Oda connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hero some visible discomfort.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hero is trying to improve his position.
Oda wants to control but Hero is keeping him busy.
Oda controls the position.

The strikes coming from Oda are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Oda is trying to ground and pound but Hero uses the momentary lack of control by Oda to regain half guard.

Hero looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hero is doing well to control the position and prevent Oda from advancing to side control.
Hero taking some punishment here, with Oda in his half guard.
Oda is thwarting Hero's attempts to control the position.
Oda trying to mount his opponent but Hero defends it.
Oda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hero keeping hold of Oda's head, controlling as best he can.

Oda has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hero defend it? Oda steps over the head and cranks it - Hero is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Oda!
