That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Clay Mercer.

With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kostas Charalabous!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Salwa blocks the low kick.
Charalabous connects with a looping right hand.
Salwa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Charalabous.
The crowd cheers as Charalabous lands an impressive looking overhand right. Salwa doesn't seem phased though.
Salwa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Salwa feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Charalabous sprawling to the canvas! Charalabous rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Salwa finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
