The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hill has his takedown stuffed
and Whyte counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hill stops Whyte from standing up.
Hill wants to control from the top but Whyte keeps moving.
Hill seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hill has gone for a leg lock! Whyte slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hill's guard.

Hill clinches up with Whyte and pushes him back against the cage.

Hill turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hill manages to end up in side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Whyte tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Whyte has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hill is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Whyte's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Whyte is looking to advance position but Hill won't allow it.
Whyte is trying to control the action in half guard but Hill is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hill wants to improve his position but Whyte is controlling well.

Hill makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Hill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hill wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hill goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Whyte has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hill but great work by Whyte.

Hill's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Banter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Muombwa leaves Banter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Muombwa lands with an uppercut that bounces Banter off the cage and back into range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Banter slips a straight right by Muombwa.

That was a close round but I would say that Adhra Muombwa will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Banter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Muombwa is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Banter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Muombwa here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Muombwa looks to land a right hand but Banter moved out of range.

Muombwa lands a big uppercut and Banter crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Banter looks OK. Muombwa waves Banter back to his feet!

Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side.

William Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Knight.

Knight shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Knight works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Dark Knight has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Knight is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Johnson doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Knight crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Knight's bad books for that mishap!

and Steele counters with a nice uppercut.

Steele lands a left and a right that send Ovechkin crashing to the mat, dazed. Steele thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steele feints with a jab and clips Ovechkin right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Ovechkin is sent crashing into the canvas and Steele leaps in for the kill! Ovechkin tries to get to his feet but Steele is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Ovechkin is in need of a savior and steps in!

Glasgow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hovanessian stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Horrible takedown by Hovanessian or perhaps it was just good defense by Glasgow which made him look bad.
Glasgow swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hovanessian.
Hovanessian shoots in for a takedown but Glasgow shows good takedown defense.

Hovanessian looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Glasgow pulls Hovanessian in close to prevent any damage.

Hovanessian content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Glasgow has locked up a guillotine! Glasgow's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hovanessian is holding on here and Glasgow must be using up a lot of energy. Hovanessian has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Glasgow gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Jellyroll changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Minasian tries to avoid it but Jellyroll manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Minasian to the ground. Minasian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Minasian feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jellyroll sprawling to the canvas! Jellyroll rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Minasian finish him?!

Jellyroll is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Minasian just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Jellyroll has gone limp and this one is over!

Arbi Minasian tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
