Glasper avoiding damage as Short throws knees to the body.
Glasper on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Short tries to land a knee to the head but Glasper blocks with his arms.
Glasper blocks an elbow strike.

Glasper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Short chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Glasper can pounce on him.

Short is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Glasper moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture shoots for a double leg takedown but Korczewski sprawls well. He's pushed Couture's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Couture shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Korczewski as he jumps to the side.
Korczewski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Couture paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Couture closes this distance looking for a takedown but Korczewski circles away.
Kamil Korczewski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devin Couture.

Oooooh!!! Korczewski has knocked Couture down with a huge combo! Korczewski steps away and waves a wobbly Couture back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Korczewski looks to land a body kick but Couture moved away.
Korczewski leaves Couture with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

After the fight, Kamil Korczewski was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

On his way into the cage it seems that Joe Lauzon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joe Lauzon seems to be OK! Lauzon fails with a takedown attempt.
Thomas clobbers Lauzon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Thomas lands a left and a right that send Lauzon crashing to the mat, dazed. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lauzon is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lauzon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thomas's guard.
Oh Lauzon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lauzon stands up from Thomas's guard - Lauzon perhaps looking for a knockout.
Thomas lands a right hook to the body.
Lauzon seems to have got his legs back now.
Thomas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lauzon. That did some damage!
No joy there for Lauzon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sisko misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Coach parries the strikes from Sisko easily there. Sisko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Coach to escape.
Coach takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sisko throws an elbow but Coach slips to the side and avoids it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Coach takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Sisko tries to score with some ground and pound. Coach controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sisko cracks Coach on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Coach falls backwards against the cage. Sisko follows up with more strikes that drop Coach to his knees. Sisko keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Coach! This one is all over!
