The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Califf looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Califf.
Califf fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stara avoids it really well and circles away.

Joe Kazboe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kazboe is trying desperately to land a takedown but Link is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kazboe.

Link uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kazboe.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kazboe.
Link leaves Kazboe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Link looks to land a combination but Kazboe avoids it well.

Kazboe shoots in for a double leg but Link sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Link lands a big right hand that sends Kazboe crashing to the mat! Link stays standing though and waves Kazboe back to his feet!
Gerard Link is winning the standup battle so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Link lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kazboe is rocked!
Kazboe drops his hands for a split second and Link immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Kazboe face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Link follows up with a right hand that knocks Kazboe into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

After the fight, Gerard Link was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
