The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Reacher misses its intended target.
Reacher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heart was well out of range. Poor timing from Reacher.
Reacher tries to close the distance and clinch but Heart swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Heart misses with a double jab.
Heart bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Reacher misses with a jab, cross combination.
Heart looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Heart. No joy for Reacher on that attempt.
Heart throws a poor cross that misses
and Reacher cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Heart thows a left - swing and a miss!

Reacher drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reacher tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reacher swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Heart is now in Reacher's guard. A big mistake from Reacher there, giving up the dominant position!
Heart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Reacher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reacher is on top in guard.

Reacher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Heart with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Heart is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Reacher has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Heart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reacher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Heart is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Reacher off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Aki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slim Whitman - Indian Love Call.
