Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Mott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wangjannoi Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payakaroon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by thai fight music. John Mott had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mott throws a low kick but Payakaroon moves out of range easily.
Mott is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Payakaroon.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mott crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Payakaroon - the referee stops the clock and Mott gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Payakaroon. Mott manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Mott is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Whack! Payakaroon lands a heavy head kick that drops Mott. The ref tackles Payakaroon to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mott was done.

Mandragoran throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Dick Ding has been cut.
Mandragoran will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ding pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mandragoran back to the cage. Ding follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mandragoran fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ding on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ding misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mandragoran leaves Ding with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mandragoran lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ding's sensitive parts.

That was a close round but I would say that Lan Mandragoran will probably get the nod.

Saurkraut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
