Delgado has hold of Silva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silva seems comfortable defending it but Delgado has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Delgado couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Kask is fighting off a takedown attempt but Al Abib is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kask to the mat. Kask regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Kask escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Al Abib gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots and misses

and Esta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Steel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Esta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Steel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Esta is aware though and is defending well.

Steel looking for subs off his back but Esta has passed one foot through into half guard.
Steel wants to get back to full guard.
Esta takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Steel goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Esta rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Steel's guard! Nice work there by Esta!

Esta has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Steel!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Esta is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Steel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Steel shrugs it off.

Silva Jr is looking to clinch but Banner is avoiding it.
Banner throws out a loose jab but Silva Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Silva Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banner pinned against the cage. Banner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Banner lands a head shot.
Silva Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Banner.
Banner swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva Jr.
Banner lands a jab to Silva Jr's midsection.
Banner keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Silva Jr fails with the takedown
and Banner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jerome Le Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva Jr.

Banner looks to land a right hand but Silva Jr moved out of range.
Banner missing with a left hand there. Silva Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Banner drops Silva Jr with a big left hand and mounts him. Silva Jr is in big trouble!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Banner! Silva Jr is hurt baaadly! Banner is firing away with more strikes - Silva Jr is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
