Walus looks to land a left hand but Ashton moved out of range nicely.

Walus is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ashton is controlling him.
Ashton wants to control from the top but Walus keeps moving.
Ashton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ashton drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ashton seems to have locked his on tight now - Walus screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ashton, as he picks up the win!

Rick Ashton opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

Croswell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Mercades misses with a lunging right hand
and Croswell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Croswell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mercades circles away quickly and effectively.
Oh Mercades is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Croswell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mercades eats them both and turns towards Croswell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Croswell tries to bum rush Mercades with a series of wild strikes but Mercades uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mercades is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Croswell is just riding it out for now. Mercades eventually gives up the hold.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Badziewiak connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Thomas tumbling to the canvas! Badziewiak pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Thomas was done - good stoppage!
