The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daris just misses with a punch to the body.
Baldoza feints and then cracks Daris's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Daris down.
Baldoza moves in looking to clinch but Daris pushes him off.
Daris shoots in for a takedown but Baldoza shows good takedown defense.
Daris takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Daris looks to land a left hand but Baldoza moved out of range nicely.

Baldoza manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Daris on his heels. He'll look to pass Daris's guard now, I'm sure.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Baldoza is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Daris sees it coming and defends easily.
Baldoza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lopez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
