Slice changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zaruchich tries to avoid it but Slice manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zaruchich to the ground. Zaruchich escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slice fails with a takedown attempt.
Shtipe Zaruchich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zaruchich lands with a thumping leg kick.
Zaruchich throws a push kick but Slice slaps the foot to one side.
Slice jabs at Zaruchich's body.

Shtipe Zaruchich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zaruchich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Slice throws a right and a left that Zaruchich avoids nicely.
Slice slips a jab and a cross from Zaruchich.
A slow jab from Zaruchich misses its intended target.
Zaruchich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Slice closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zaruchich to the mat! Zaruchich manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Slice seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Horrible takedown by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Zaruchich which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slice shoots for a takedown but Zaruchich saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Slice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shtipe Zaruchich will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Kimbo Slice's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Slice forces Zaruchich back against the cage and clinches.
Zaruchich is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Slice is defending well for now.
Zaruchich is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Slice is keeping busy.
Zaruchich seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Slice is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zaruchich is pressed up against the cage. Slice has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zaruchich down to the mat. Zaruchich avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Slice gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Slice lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Slice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zaruchich throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Slice counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zaruchich's guard now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kimbo Slice.
Slice throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Slice showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zaruchich.
Zaruchich fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slice looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Zaruchich drops his hands momentarily and Slice takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Slice closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
