The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware lands a head shot.
Couture does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Couture misses the shot to the body.
Ware sizes up Couture with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Couture takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Donk. Ware catches Couture right on the button with a cross.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ware scores with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ware tests Couture's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Ware throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Couture tumbling to the canvas!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Couture can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ware forces his way into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ware in particular looking to stall.

Ware's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
