Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucuis Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christian Segura!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Segura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Segura misses with a looping right.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Segura is defended easily by Black.
Black tries to clinch there but Segura circles away.
Black misses with the combination.

Segura feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Segura wants to pass the guard but Black is keeping the position.
Black wants to sweep but no luck.
Segura trying to control but Black is working from the bottom.

Segura stands and throws Black's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Segura has hold of Black's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Black tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Segura cranks the arm and Black screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Black, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Christian Segura!
