Adams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leaf is just riding it out for now. Adams eventually gives up the hold.

Adams has control of Leaf's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Leaf regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Adams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Leaf is trying to reverse the position but instead Adams has taken his back - oops!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adams is trying to stick to Leaf's back but Leaf is turning into Adams. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Adams's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Leaf.

Adams has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Leaf is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Adams.

Adams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Leaf is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Adams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Adams has escaped and now he's on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adams is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Adams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Grizzly Adams will probably get the nod.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is why cant we be friends. The crowd seem to be enjoying McNulty 's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman by Metallica. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I think Pinkman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Regeneration Remix . Ruoska comes into a darkened arena with his song building. No joy there for Pinkman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
