Volkov comes to the cage accompanied by The Trooper by Iron Maiden. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cohen's choice of entrance music: Season in the Abyss. Lawrence Cohen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Volkov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Volkov throws a hook but Cohen blocks it.
Cohen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cohen stuffs the takedown attempt from Volkov. Volkov gets slowly back to his feet.
Volkov tries to work over Cohen's front leg with a kick but Cohen checks it.

Cohen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Volkov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cohen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cohen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cohen is looking to take a break and control but Volkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cohen swings around for an armbar but Volkov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cohen's guard.

Cohen drops his hands momentarily. Volkov doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Cohen staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Cohen doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
