Flabbott feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neely stuffs the takedown attempt from Hall. Hall gets slowly back to his feet.
Neely swats away the attempt to clinch by Hall.
Neely uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hall.
Neely ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Neely shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hall is trying to stand back up but Neely is controlling him
Neely trying to control the action but Hall is working from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hall tries to kick Neely off but Neely keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neely takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neely is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hall sees it coming and defends easily.
Neely wants to pass to mount but Hall is defending the position.
Ground and pound from Neely.
Neely has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Neely not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neely drops an elbow to the side of Hall's head.
Hall won't allow Neely to pass to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hall has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Neely. Oh but Hall has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Neely goes limp - he's gone! Hall jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Albert Hall!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Bortman blocks the low kick.
Hilton lands a really nice looking cross but Bortman seems unphased.
Hilton throws a leg kick but Bortman sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bortman's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bortman duly obliges.

It looks like Morgan Hilton has been cut.
Bortman looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Bortman backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hilton's temple! It sends Hilton violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Bortman celebrates and the doctors try to help Hilton!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Alex Bortman!
After the fight, Alex Bortman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
