The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a nice looking combination but Palhares bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Peters takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
No joy there for Peters, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Peters gets caught flat footed, as Palhares shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Peters manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Palhares manages to get himself to full guard.
Peters wanted to stand there but Palhares had control of the position.
