The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Watson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Watson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Koyo has chosen "Tengoku Kara Kaminari" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Salaam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Salaam bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Salaam avoids the head kick by Koyo.
Koyo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Salaam's head backwards.

It looks like Geiger Salaam has been cut.

and Koyo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Salaam blocks a low kick nicely.

Koyo motions for Salaam to come forward. Koyo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Salaam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Koyo.

Koyo takes the fight into the clinch.
Salaam is looking to break free of the clinch but Koyo has double underhooks.
Koyo is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Koyo is trying to pull guard but Salaam turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Koyo wants to take the fight to the mat but Salaam manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Koyo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Salaam regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Musashimaru Koyo.
Salaam misses with the body kick
and Koyo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Koyo throws a leg kick which misses Salaam's front leg but catches the back leg as Salaam tries to avoid it.
Salaam is breathing heavily.

and Salaam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Salaam keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Koyo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salaam to the mat! Salaam manages to get full guard.
Salaam keeping moving, preventing Koyo from controlling successfully.
Salaam will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Koyo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Koyo wants to control from the top but Salaam keeps moving.
Salaam is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Koyo dives into side control.

Koyo lands a decent elbow from side control.
Check out the look on Koyo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Salaam wants to get back to his feet but Koyo drags him back down.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Geiger Salaam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Musashimaru Koyo!
Musashimaru Koyo really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Supersize Me logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
