Yugo has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Yaya Yugo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Russel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shepard as he avoids it easily.
Shepard looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Russel connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shepard. Shepard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Shepard tries to move into range but Russel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shepard can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Russel is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Russel!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
