The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash lands with a kick to the temple. Schnell shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Schnell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Matt Schnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crash pushes Schnell away with a front kick.
Schnell closes the distance and clinches up with Crash, looking for a takedown. Schnell pushes Crash against the cage but Crash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Schnell looks to land a left hand but Crash moved out of range nicely.
Schnell blocks a low kick nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Schnell.
Crash throws a leg kick which misses Schnell's front leg but catches the back leg as Schnell tries to avoid it.

Crash dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Schnell. That did some damage!

Crash is trying to push Schnell away but Schnell has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Schnell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Crash after a bit of a struggle.
Skull Crash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Schnell.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schnell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crash as he avoids it easily.
Crash throws a head kick but Schnell moves out of range.
Schnell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crash's waist but Crash gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schnell off to one side.

Crash lands a big head kick that sends Schnell tumbling to the mat! Crash takes a step backwards and waves Schnell back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Schnell is rocked!
Crash closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Schnell out cold! Schnell corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
