The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cola throws a body punch but Rubio moves out of range.

Cola gets caught napping as Rubio dives in and scores a takedown. Cola manages to retain guard.
Rubio controlling from the top position.
Cola really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rolles Rubio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Rua looks for the body kick but Gi saw that one coming.
A combination from Gi does no damage.
Rua throws a nice looking combination but Gi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Gi counters with a head kick.
Gi dodges the punch combination from Rua.

Rua throws a head kick but Gi moves out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Gi throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely.
Rua will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Gi counters with a solid body kick.

Gi tries a head kick but it misses.
Gi throws a sloppy head kick and Rua moves out of range easily.
Gi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rua.
Rua falls off balance throwing a combination
and as Rua loses concentration momentarily, Gi counters with a picture perfect head kick! Rua goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Trenton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Paulo's head backwards.
Paulo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Trenton counters with a stiff right hand.
Paulo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Trenton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Paulo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Trenton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Trenton lands a body shot.
Paulo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Paulo shoots in looking for a takedown but Trenton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paulo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Spider Trenton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Paulo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Paulo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Trenton is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Paulo.
Paulo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trenton tries to avoid it but Paulo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trenton to the ground. Trenton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
