The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giannacopulos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boom fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boom stuffs the takedown.
Giannacopulos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Time Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Giannacopulos.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Giannacopulos shoots in looking for a takedown but Boom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Giannacopulos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close round but I would say that Time Boom will probably get the nod.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fuma, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ribera is on top in guard.
Riberais looking to pass into half guard but Diaz pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Diaz is in guard.
Ribera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Diaz wants to get up but he can't break Ribera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Diaz is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ribera has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Diaz is looking to defend but Ribera has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Diaz! Ribera pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Diaz taps out and this one is all over!

Steveo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koetsuji moves away.

Koetsuji closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Koetsuji tries to land a knee to the head but Steveo blocks with his arms.
Koetsuji is pressed up against the cage. Steveo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Koetsuji down to the mat. Koetsuji avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Steveo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Koetsuji.
Koetsuji throws a body punch but Steveo moves out of range.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Koetsuji cracks Steveo with an uppercut from hell and Steveo crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Koetsuji's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koetsuji throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steveo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Koetsuji lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Steveo!

Steveo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big strike lands for Koetsuji! That's really hurt Steveo and he's turned his back - Koetsuji keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Koetsuji jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
