The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Ertu moves into the clinch successfully.
Lani is looking to break free of the clinch but De Ertu has double underhooks.
Lani can't break the clinch.
Lani is trying to force a seperation but De Ertu has the dominant position.

Lani is fighting off a takedown attempt but De Ertu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lani to the mat. Lani regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

De Ertu gets to his feet. Lani looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

De Ertu dives in and scores a takedown into Lani's guard.

No joy there for Redbox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Melo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Melo controls the position.
Redbox wants to get back to his feet.
Redbox stops Melo from passing to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by AJ Melo.
Redbox lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Redbox throws a body punch but Melo moves out of range.

Redbox wants to stand up but Melo is controlling him.
Melo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Good leg kick by River there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

River lands a big head kick that sends Schmelly tumbling to the mat! River takes a step backwards and waves Schmelly back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
BOOM! River lands a beautiful left hook that drops Schmelly. Schmelly tries to recover but River is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Schmelly lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
