Amin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mellendrez sprawling to the canvas! Mellendrez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Amin finish him?!

Oh Mellendrez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mellendrez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Amin fakes the body blow, causing Mellendrez to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Mellendrez goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Jesus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jesus looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sakuragi is defending well. Jesus quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sakuragi has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jesus celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lok is defended easily by Garrido.
Lok lands a nice looking kick to the body. Garrido takes a step back to recover.
Garrido steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lok. That one must have hurt.
Lok throws a head kick that half lands.
Lok fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Garrido has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Garrido walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lok.
Lok lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lok throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lok connects with a good right hand that stumbles Garrido. Garrido circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lok circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Garrido drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Lok follows Garrido to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Lok!
During a confident post fight interview, Kevin Lok thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

Villar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Markson to score with a decent uppercut.
Villar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Markson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Villar scrambles back to his feet.
Markson throws an off balance right hand
and Villar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Villar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Villar.

Markson is rocked!
Villar looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Villar throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Markson colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Villar as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Markson is left battered and dazed whilst Villar and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Villar!
Chris Villar is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Chris Villar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
