Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lesner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanson Gredial (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Lesner had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Hayes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shepard pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Shepard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Shepard drops his hands momentarily and Hayes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hayes cracks Shepard with a good jab.
Hayes misses the jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Hayes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shepard sprawling to the canvas! Shepard rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hayes finish him?!

That was a close round but I would say that Roger Freedmen will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
