The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud throws a head kick but Situation moves out of range.

Situation gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stroud to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Stroud stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Situation swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Some bone on bone action there as Stroud checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Stroud darts in and clinches Situation up against the cage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Situation struggles to land a body shot inside as Stroud controls his hands.

Situation's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Situation takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Stroud ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stroud no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Stroud bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Situation's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stroud accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Stroud is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

BOOM! Black lands a beautiful left hook that drops Davis. Davis tries to recover but Black is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Davis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

That was a close round but I would say that Milan Lucic will probably get the nod.
