The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grace with a lazy takedown attempt

and Vidal counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grace's guard now.

Vidal decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Vidal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grace sprawls well initially but Vidal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vidal wants to work for an arm triangle but Grace is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grace tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Vidal manages to move to mount!
Grace tries to control Vidal's body but Vidal pushes him off. Grace squirms to his side and now Vidal has his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vidal controlling well, preventing Grace from escaping the position.

Vidal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grace pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Miguel Grace was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vidal. Grace does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vidal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Vidal shoots in and bounces Grace off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grace is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Grace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vidal is working away from the top position though.
Grace regains full guard. Nicely done.

Vidal has gone for a leg lock! Grace slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vidal's guard.

Vidal isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Grace stacks Vidal on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Grace!

I really don't envy Vidal right now.
Vidal avoids the strikes from Grace.

Miguel Grace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cheen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cheen wants it to stay on the feet.
Alves shoots in but Cheen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cheen stuffs the takedown attempt from Alves. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
Charles Cheen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetryos Alves.
Cheen slaps away a takedown attempt from Alves, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cheen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cheen lands a right hand.
Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cheen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cheen lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Cheen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Alves wants to take the fight to the mat but Cheen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Alves has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Cheen. Oh but Alves has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Cheen goes limp - he's gone! Alves jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Al Danos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Al Danos drops his hands momentarily. Van Damme doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Al Danos staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Al Danos doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sisyphus shoots for a double leg takedown but Osko sprawls well. He's pushed Sisyphus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
