Cheng shoots for a double leg takedown but Ryu sprawls well. He's pushed Cheng's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cheng is breathing heavily.
The fighters circle, before Ryu throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Cheng's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ryu lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwight Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin comes to the cage accompanied by Champions. Howard has chosen Superman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Taylor Griffin had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Dwight Howard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soto throws a leg kick but Akazumi sees it coming and moves out of range.
Soto walks into a jab.
Akazumi looks for a takedown but Soto sprawls well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Moa Soto will probably get the nod.
