The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Staunton feints and as Bum raises his hands in defense, Staunton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Staunton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bum swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Staunton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Staunton wants to control from the top but Bum keeps moving.
Staunton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Staunton's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Steve Staunton has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Staunton moves into range and clinches up with Bum.

Staunton has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bum regains guard immediately.

Staunton connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Bum to escape the position.

Slice throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Slice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alexander.

Alexander defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slice.

Slice gets in close and instigates a clinch.
