The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy misses with a head kick.
Russell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hardy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Michael Russell has been cut.

Hardy lands a left and a right that send Russell crashing to the mat, dazed. Hardy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hardy lands a big right hook! Russell looks hurt but is still standing! Hardy lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Russell falls down and Hardy dives in with a huge hammer fist! Russell's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Hardy runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isaac Martin had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be fireworks!

Martin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Martin shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilson tries to sprawl out of it but Martin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
