The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Romine - just one landing.
Romine feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bavarias jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bavaria misses with a takedown
and Romine counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bavaria thinking.
Bavaria has his takedown stuffed
and Romine connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romine cracks Bavaria with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Romine has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bavaria to stand back up!

Romine shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Bavaria takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Romine sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Bavaria bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Lii is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Legend of the Ocean . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lii throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sampson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick misses from Sampson.
Sampson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lii.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sampson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sampson throws a sloppy head kick
and Lii counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lii closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sampson quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lii frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lii is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sampson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sampson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lii anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sampson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lii slips an arm under Sampson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lii has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lii is squeezing on Sampson like an anaconda would it's prey. Sampson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Luke Lii!
In his post fight interview, Luke Lii started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Cain maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Trechner could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Cain has cracked it and Trechner is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Cain!

McNutt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well McNutt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Reynolds shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Martin wobbles Reynolds with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Martin dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Reynolds to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tim Martin! Tim Martin retains his super heavyweight title!
Tim Martin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Mango Nutrition (95% Laundry) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
